We believe healthcare profession is an art and a science that requires critical thinking, judgment and caring. Healthcare is the act of assisting healthy, disabled, ill or dying individuals of any age to meet their basic needs of life and self -care. In order to deliver care the professional collects data needed to make assessments, plans implements and evaluates the quality of care for individuals of all ages. The healthcare practitioner uses preventive, rehabilitative, therapeutic and supportive measure under the supervision of the Registered nurse and other health professionals.
The faculty of this institution expresses its beliefs about the interrelationship among health education, the individual, and the community. Healthcare is a learned scientific discipline with both theoretical and practical components. The practitioner has a multiple role to play: preventing diseases, promoting and restoring, health. To fulfill these roles, the practitioner must acquire the knowledge, develop critical thinking abilities and utilize technical skills based on the bio-psychosocial sciences and a growing body of knowledge in the healthcare field.

Health is a dynamic process of biological, psychological, behavioral, social, cultural and spiritual well-being and reflects each person’s ability to interact with a constantly changing environment. Wellness and its absence are socially, culturally, and individually defined concepts representing the degree of variation in people’s ability to alter or adjust to their environment. The practitioner and the patient or family cooperate as a team to design, implement, manage and evaluate interventions for the promotion of well-being, the prevention of illness and achievement of optional
functioning.

The practitioner assist with data collection, contributes to the plan of care, performs therapeutic and preventive measures and assist in evaluating the outcomes of interventions of the client under the direct supervision of the Registered nurse as well as other healthcare professionals. The professional is accountable for nursing practice based on standards of care, scope of practice and a code of ethics.
The faculty knows the significance of teaching social and cultural concepts as they relate to individuals. Students are taught to identify the impact cultural issues have on health, health beliefs, and health practices when implementing appropriate interventions. The theory portion is correlated with clinical practice through planned experiences in various healthcare agencies in the community. This practice prepares the student to meet the needs of the community and to develop an acceptance of the professional responsibilities as well as the opportunity to develop leadership and management skills. The faculty respects the students as an individual with dignity and worth and as a learner with the capacity for hard work and self-direction to achieve his/her full potential. We believe students place value on being honest and trust worthy.

We also recognize that students need to have a voice in educational processes. They are prepared to accept responsibility and accountability for their learning now and in the future. They are encouraged to maintain continued professional growth.
